Welcome to OTT Finder ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.

Information We Collect

OTT Finder is designed with your privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:

• No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information.
• No Account Required: Our app and website do not require user registration or login.
• Movie Searches: Search queries are processed to return results and are not stored against any user profile. We log the length of queries and the number of results returned (never the query text itself) for aggregate analytics.
• Anonymous Usage Analytics: We collect aggregate, anonymous usage statistics such as screen views, button taps, app version, device type, and operating system to improve the product. No IP addresses, precise location, contacts, or content of your searches are collected.
• Release Alerts (optional, mobile app): If you enable "Notify me" for a title, we store your device's anonymous push notification token together with the titles you chose. This is used solely to send you that release alert and is never linked to any identity or used for marketing. These records are deleted when you unsubscribe, when the alert has been sent, or automatically if your device becomes unreachable. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings, which stops all alerts.

Third-Party Services

OTT Finder uses the following third-party services:

• The Movie Database (TMDB): We use the TMDB API to fetch movie information and streaming availability. Their privacy policy can be found at https://www.themoviedb.org/privacy-policy.
• Cloudflare: Our website and API are hosted on Cloudflare. Their privacy policy can be found at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
• Google Analytics (website only): We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate website usage such as page views, country-level geography, device type, and traffic sources. GA4 automatically anonymizes IP addresses and does not share our data with advertising products. • PostHog (mobile app only): We use PostHog (PostHog Inc., San Francisco, CA) in the mobile app to understand anonymous, aggregate product usage. PostHog receives an anonymous device identifier, device type, operating system, app version, locale, and events such as screen views and button taps. We have explicitly disabled session replay, touch heatmaps, and IP-based geolocation, and we instruct PostHog to discard IP addresses at ingestion. Data Storage

We do not store any personal data, with one narrow exception: if you opt in to release alerts, we store your device's anonymous push notification token and chosen titles for as long as the alert is pending (see "Release Alerts" above). Movie information displayed in the app is fetched in real-time from TMDB and cached temporarily for performance purposes only.

Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses a small number of cookies:

• Session cookies required for the website to function (e.g., keeping your language preference across page loads). These are strictly necessary and not used for tracking.
• Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) used to measure aggregate website usage. IP addresses are anonymized and the data is not used for advertising.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking. The mobile app does not use cookies; its anonymous analytics are described above.

You can disable analytics by using a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on or by enabling "Do Not Track" / a privacy-focused browser.

Children's Privacy

Our app is suitable for all ages and does not collect any information from children or adults.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal information, there is generally no personal data to access, modify, or delete. If you believe anonymous analytics attributable to your device should be removed, please contact us at the address below and we will work with our analytics providers to honor the request.

EU / UK / California residents have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA (right to access, delete, and opt out of "sale" of personal information). We do not sell personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.

While we don't collect personal data, we use industry-standard security measures to protect our infrastructure and ensure a safe experience for all users.
